Today is the Birth Anniversary Of Bharat Ratna Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Divas (National Unity Day. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Popularly Know as "Iron Man of India" n 'Bismarck of India' He Was One of the Strong Pillars of Freedom Struggle, Who Dedicated his Life for Bharat Mata Country’s Unity n Integrity.


Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was Born on 31 October 1875 in Karmsad (Nadiad), Bombay Presidency (Present Day Gujarat). Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the Fourth of the Six Children of his Parents. His Father Jhaverbhai was a Farmer n His Mother Laadbai was a Very Simple n Spiritual Woman. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the First Home Minister of India n A Senior Leader of the Indian National Congress n Also a Barrister. He Was The Visionary Leader Who Unified India From Kashmir to Kanyakumari.


He was a Great Man, We all know it But the thing that I Found Interesting was that The Man was So Selfless, that He Willingly Let go the Chance of Becoming the First Prime Minister of Independent India. Just for the Unity of this Country. He was Instrumental in Integrating all 565 Princely States into the Union of India from 1947 to 1949 by Independence Act.


The Statue of Unity is a Monument Dedicated to the Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It is the Worlds tallest Statue with the Height of 182 Metres (597 foot high). The towering Monument of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Standing tall at Sadhu Bet Three Killo Metres away from the Sardar Sarovar Dam (Narmada Dam) in Narmada District (Gujarat) the Statue of Unity is Built at a Cost of Rs 2989 Crore (U$D 420 Million)  More than 3,400 Labourers n 250 Engineers were Deployed By L&T (Larsen & Toubro Ltd) to Built the Statue. Construction got Completed in Committed time Period of 42 Months to make the Dream Project of PM Modi's a Reality.

Jallianwala Bagh Massacre

The History of Indian Independence War is Full of Stories of Oppression of Britishers n Such a Story is about Jallianwala Bagh. Today is the 100th anniversary of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Which is a Black Mark on the Historical Map of our Country. It was on this Day, When the Colourful Festival (Baisakhi) turned into a Blood Bath.
